Grace and I visited the Olympic coast over memorial day, in something of an impulsive goodbye-ocean trip. It rained. Otherwise we would have been climbing. Wet or not, it is a gorgeous area to explore. On day one we visited Ruby beach, and actually soaked up some sunshine. Day two was a lazy morning followed by a nice hike up the Hoh river trail. Day three we started early from Rialto beach and hiked up past hole-in-the wall in time for a low tide. Very different subject matter form my usual photography. I found it both challenging and rewarding. Grace is fortunately very patient!
